Physical or sensory impairment or acquired brain injury employment support service
Drug or alcohol dependency employment support service

Impact Initiatives is responsible for running a wide range of services across Sussex that help individuals and communities to improve their lives.

One of these services is called Impact Workability West Sussex.

Impact Workability provides specialist employment and vocational support services. We help people with physical, sensory impairments or acquired brain injuries, and those who are recovering from drug and alcohol dependency, to access and sustain education, training and work opportunities.

Impact Workability offers one-to-one support in matching skills and abilities to suitable jobs and courses. We can also help you to plan your career development at a pace that suits you.

This might include:

  • finding and keeping a job that suits you;
  • preparing job applications and CVs and for interviews;
  • finding out what benefits and returning to work support is available to you;
  • managing your health and any issues within the workplace, and advising you how or what to disclose to an employer;
  • finding you a suitable work placement where you can develop existing and new skills;
  • finding the options available to help you direct your career;
  • finding out what courses are available to you and where; and
  • looking for voluntary work.

Impact Workability employment specialists will work in partnership with you to help you find ways to overcome barriers and achieve your goals.

Impact Workability also works with employers to develop positive and sustainable working relationships with their employees.
