About us
Steps to Work is a robust partnership of voluntary and public
sector organisations. We specialise in helping disadvantaged
people obtain paid and unpaid employment, training and
education. This is a free service and is not dependent on whether
you are in receipt of a working age benefit.
As a partnership we are united in our passion and determination
to reach out to and enrich the lives of our clients. Our
resourcefulness, valuable links with the business community, and
the extensive knowledge that we have built up over the years enable
us to really help and support you as you take your first steps
towards work.
Support is designed specifically to suit you. It may take
the form of:
- in-work benefit or money management advice;
- help with job searches, CV writing or interview skills
training;
- building your confidence or other motivational short
courses;
- work experience placements; and
- support to gain employment or self-employment.
We also offer support for people with mental health problems or
those who are recovering from drug or alcohol dependency. This is
only if your disability or health condition poses a serious risk to
your being able to keep your job.
